Supercar

Ford GT90 Concept Front
There are [[muscle car]]s, which have big engines stuffed into ordinary cars. There are [[sports car]]s, which are purpose-built for performance. There are even [[race car]]s, which are built specifically to be placed on the track. But there is another class of vehicle in between these last two, something that is almost ready to be placed on the track as you drive it off the floor. Something that, arguably, has no reason to exist on a public road. We call that a supercar. The definition of the word has changed over time as automotive technology has progressed. Once upon a time, a vehicle that could maintain sustained speeds over just a hundred miles per hour was considered a supercar. Today, it takes a sports car which exceeds 200 MPH and has the other hardware to make use of such speed to fit the bill. One of the first examples of the modern supercar, therefore, was the [[Lamborghini Countach]]; in particular the LP5000S (if I recall correctly, that is) model would do over 210 MPH!Jay Leno says that anyone who says they've had their car over 200 MPH on the street is lying, and that he almost peed himself doing 180 on the track. Your mileage may vary, but I tend to believe him. Ferrari has of course had at least their share of 200+ milers, perhaps starting with the [[Ferrari F40]]. The current American production supercars are the [[Ford GT]] and the [[Dodge Viper]], though it is possible to turn a few other cars (like the 'vette) into supercars with some performance tuning and other equipment upgrades. Italy, however, has always been the richest source of these gas-guzzling monsters (which rarely get double-digit numbers of miles per gallon even on the freeway.)

nice car and nice post. today i would talk about the 2011 Venom GT. It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.5 seconds and, according to the tuner HPE, has a top speed of 443 km/h. This numbers say that Venom GT would be able to surpass the record of the Bugatti Veyron Super Sport.
