Nissan Skyline V35
The Nissan Skyline is one of the best-loved automobiles of all time. Nicknamed the "Battle King", the Skyline GT-R is one of the most loved and feared vehicles on the streets of Japan. The latest GT-R, the MY2000 R34 model, provides only 260PS (about 278 HP) due to Japanese output restrictions but can trivially be improved through bolt-on aftermarket parts to power levels above 400 HP. In fact, Jun, one of the best-known Nissan tuning companies, has a drag race Skyline with 1,600 horsepower.
However, the Skyline has changed significantly over time. By the time the vehicle finally came to the US, it suffered the loss of the venerable RB-series of straight six engines, and is now powered by Nissan's "NEO" V6 engines, the 3.5 liter VQ35DE (NEO) and 2.5 liter VQ25DD (NEO Di) - though only the 3.5 liter engine is used in the versions of the car. Both engines use variable valve timing and are in general highly tuned; and the VQ35 delivers 298 BHP while the VQ25 puts out 211 BHP, not bad considering that the 2.4 liter straight four in the USDM 240SX from 91 on has only 165 BHP. For additional comparison, the VG30DE 3.0 liter DOHC V6 found in the 91+ 300ZX has 220 BHP, and the VG30DETT (same engine, with twin Garrett T25 turbos and side mount intercoolers) has about 300. Thus, using only 500cc more displacement enables this new engine to have the same output without turbocharging as Nissan's former V6 did with it.
As before, the Skyline is available both as a coupe and a sedan. In the US, we receive these vehicles as the Infiniti G35 coupe and sedan. Here, all of them have the VQ35DE Neo engine, with two different varieties; earlier vehicles and new vehicles with automatic transmissions have a slightly older version with less horsepower (around 270 BHP) because they have variable valve timing on the intake valves only. Newer models with manual transmissions get the upgraded powerplant that has continuously variable timing for the exhaust valves as well; this raises output to about 298 BHP but reduces peak torque by 10 lb-ft. Some of the USDM vehicles are also offered with four wheel steering, an option which appeared previously on the 180SX/Silvia/240SX/200SX (S13, S14 chassis codes.)

Notes
(Left in babelfish-mangled form for purposes of hilarity)
- Engine output indication is everything "net
value".
- There is a net value and a Gross value in engine output
indication. "Gross" is something which was measured engine as a
single unit, "the net" as a state where the engine is loaded onto the
vehicle is something which was measured under the almost same
conditions. When it measured with the same engine, the value
which approximately 15% is lower "" Gross "by the gasoline automobile
(our manufacture meeting) with it has stopped inspecting than the
net".
- Please use unleaded premium gasoline to this vehicle.
Furthermore, when it cannot procure unleaded premium gasoline,
you can use also unleaded regular gasoline, but, phenomenon such as
engine output decrease occurs.

Attendant upon the international standardization of the
unit of measure, has been used until recently as for the engine output
unit "PS" which "kW (the kilowatt)", as for engine torque unit "kgm"
it makes "the N m (Newton meter)" SI unit. Furthermore, the
converted score to "PS" and "the kgm" empty S I unit is as follows.
Numerical value makes to the integer unit, rounds decimal point
