Board

A board game is a game in which counters or pieces that are placed on, removed from, or moved across a "board" (a premarked surface usually specific to that game). Most board games become drinking games with minimal manipulation.

Trivial Pursuit

Equipment:

  • Trivial Pursuit game
  • two or more people
  • beer

Basically, play goes as normal. The only new rule is that, if you get a regular question wrong, you (and your partner(s), if playing teams.) drink once.

Monopoly (swgoths version)

Created March 8, 1997 while waiting for the Cameo Theatre in San Antonio to do something worthwhile.

It works pretty simply:

Ship

The rules of Battleship according to Zeta Psi.

This game is played with four people (two teams of two players). See the variations for similar games involving more players.

Materials: pong table, thirty 12 ounce cups of beer, pong paddles, a considerable tolerance.

I've got a good one for you to add to your list, called scribble. (Editor's note: I just called it scrabble.) All you need is a scrabble board game, beer (mixed drinks if you're psycho), and at least four people. You can have less people if you are, again, really nuts. u Use the general rules of scrabble but instead of keeping score by points, give out drinks, one drink for each point(well thought out words are recommended).

Pass the Pig

Pass The Pigs is readily available in NZ and Oz, but I don't know about the rest of the world. It's a great drinking game, though.

The following will be meaningless if you don't have the game:

Mille Bournes

This game was created by Barry and Shari

Dominoes

Another straightforward and simple game. If you know how to play Dominoes, and if you know how to drink, then this games will come easy. Grab a partner or a few, a box of dominoes, and some beer.

Chutes and Ladders

Go out and buy the childrens' board game.

Modify the rules as such:

Whenever you go UP a ladder, count the number of squares OVER and UP that you are propelled, and distribute that many drinks among your opponents. (eg. 4 over and 3 up---7 drinks: 2 to person A, 3 to B, 2 to C, for ex.).

Checkers

Nothing quite like a drinking game based on games we grew up on. The normal supplies are needed: Beer and people. But you will also need a checker- board (or something similar), and instead of checkers, lots of small glasses, such as a shot glass. The glasses should be of two different types, one for each player.

Cardinal

Editor's note: See the bottom of this page for an explanation of why I include this supposedly sacred game.

Maybe you've got this one but I didn't see it in the list. Maybe it's under another name. Anyways...
