Wallace & Gromit - The Curse of the Were-Rabbit

For lovers of The Wrong Trousers and Chicken Run has (long since) come a new Wallace and Gromit movie, The Curse of the Were-Rabbit. W&G have quit their jobs as window-washers and are now the veg(etable) protectors of the "Anti-Pesto" company, whose primary line of work is capturing vegetable-consuming rabbits and "humanely" removing them from people's gardens. Their town is host to a giant vegetable competition, in which even Gromit is a competitor. The competition's hostess Lady Tottington hires Anti-Pesto to solve the rabbit problem, but a giant rabbit suddenly appears and begins to ravage the town's veg plots.

This film was somewhat predictable throughout, but was still quite entertaining. Filled with tons of blink-and-you-miss-them bits of humor, it's a poor thing to have on in the background but absolutely riotous if you pay attention. Its predictability is really its only flaw.

W&G fans should absolutely see this one; anyone with children should probably at least rent it and give it a try. Anyone who likes this sort of movie in general will certainly enjoy this one.

The disc comes with a small handful of extras, including deleted scenes with (or without) commentary. Some of them are rendered only as storyboard sketches, which is quite amusing itself and provides some lovely insight into the creative process.
