This is an implementation of the US Standard Alphabet for Traffic Control
Devices, series E-2000. This is the current, predominant font used for road
signs. Series "B" fonts are utilized for street signs and in other situations
where a narrow (actually, condensed) font is required. Some signs (with
obvious serifs) are written with a variant of Clarendon.

Collectively the SAFTCD fonts are colloquially referred to as "Highway Gothic".
