  • You can't control deep linking in a EULA, fool
By drink | Fri April 30, 2010

Yet another misguided attempt to use a EULA to force you to give up your rights:

Hyperlinks

You are granted a limited, non-exclusive right to create a text hyperlink to the Site for noncommercial purposes, provided such link does not portray Fwix or any of its products and services in a false, misleading, derogatory or otherwise defamatory manner and provided further that the linking site does not contain any adult or illegal material or any material that is offensive, harassing or otherwise objectionable. This limited right may be revoked at any time.

Ironically, Fwix (the offender) has no content of their own, and exists solely to provide deep links.

Silly idiots, don't you know that Deep Linking is the cornerstone of the internet? And that as long as nobody is trying to pass off your content as their own, you're not breaking any laws? That's what robots.txt and Referer tracking is for.
