Wake up babe, new tank project just dropped... kinda

By drink | Sun September 06, 2026

I've been doing background tinkering on a potential low cost 3d printed, remote controlled tracked vehicle project, and to be frank it hasn't been going spectacularly until today — when I finally got a working powertrain assembled. To be clear this so far includes literally none of the track equipment, but I can just borrow that from someone else's project if I want to, and I probably will. This covers the other half of the equation, how to make the thing go.

Hot RC CT-10B and F-10A arrive

By drink | Tue October 07, 2025

The radio for my RC project got here today. It's a Hot RC CT-10B, which seems like a bit of a gamble because this company is brand new and not really doing a great job of establishing themselves. The same radios seem to also be sold branded as Meus Racing, although Meus' transmitters are orange.

Bandito: 8x8 SCX24

By drink | Sat October 04, 2025

I've had a variety of RC cars since I was about 14 years old, which lately includes mostly rock crawlers. Playing Snowrunner has made me want to build a big fancy 10x10 1:10 RC with three steer axles and a two-speed gearbox. But my wallet said no and I am just me and not sponsored, so instead I'm building a less big and less fancy 8x8 1:24 with two steer axles and a bottom-dollar brushless motor.
